Well Baby ClinicThe Well-baby clinic provides diagnostic and preventive services to infants even after receiving all the compulsory immunizations. They are checked during all growth and developmental stages thus focusing on their total well-being.

Infants are given primary immunizations to protect them from common prevent childhood diseases. Older children are protected from other common dangerous infections that would interfere with their normal growth and development.

At each visit the staff will check the eyes for vision abnormalities and muscle imbalance, the ears for infection, the heart for murmurs, and the hips for developmental dysplasia. Infants are initially examined at two weeks of age. Subsequent visits are at 2, 4, 6, 9, and 12 months.

One of the important services offered by the well-baby clinic is the provision of immunizations for childhood diseases such as diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b, hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. The clinic is responsible for tracking immunization rates in the community and notifying the families when shots are due.
