High Dependency Unit
The High Dependency Unit was created to cater for patients requiring intensive nursing care. It is classified under intensive care nursing with ICU and takes care of patients during transition from ICU to wards as well as patients who do not require to be in ICU but are too sick to be in the wards. The ward has seven beds and it is equipped with both digital and electronic monitoring equipments for patients. It receives patients requiring multiple organ support including ventilatory needs.
