Message from the CEO

Despite the recent incidents of violence that gripped our country, I trust that all our friends and families are safe and sound! We have been busy and it is my pleasure to share with you the very latest from The Nairobi Hospital. A big asante sana to those of you who attended our successful “Tee Off for Peace and Understanding” Golf Tournament in February. The event was well attended and we greatly appreciate all the support that our sponsors gave us to make this event conducive for our patrons to come together to enjoy a day of golf, while promoting peace, reconciliation and unity. I am proud to announce that The Nairobi Hospital has entered into a three year contract with the Kenya Bureau of Standards to comply with the terms and conditions in the ISO 14001:2004 Certification. In the preparation for this prestigious certificate, the Hospital’s Environmental Health Safety Committee attended

intensive environmental management system training  and rolled this out to the rest of the staff. 20 million shillings was invested by the hospital to acquire three new digitizer units. Two are located in the

main Radiology Department and one in the Plaza Annex, which is used to provide chest screening X-ray services for immigrants to the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States of America.

As a concerned corporate citizen, the hospital assisted  the victims of our country’s crisis, by holding a free medical screening for Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in Limuru, where 750 IDPs were treated with all aspects

of quality medical care and treatment. I invite you to this year’s KHA Annual General Meeting, which will be held on 17th July 2008. Thank you for your continued support as we strive to bring you the very best in medical care – Karibuni!
